Landis Elementary will be
using Student Success Process (SSP) for the fifth year starting in
Fall 2009. For more information about SSP please visit the following
here for the forms that students will be
using to keep track of their SSP progress.
the end of each 9 week grading period, your child will be taking a 9
week exam over the Indiana Academic Standards that have been targeted.
The exams will then be graded, and the standards that were the most
difficult will be reviewed during mini-lessons for a 2 week period.
The students will then be given a 5 to 10 question quiz over the
standard that will be taught during the 2 week period.
After the quiz is given, the students will be split into groups for a
30 minute SSP time. Students will be split into the groups according
to how well they did on the quiz. Students will go to one of the
following groups: remediation, tutorial, or enrichment. Please be
aware that your child will not necessarily always be assigned to the
same group. The group they go with depends on how well they perform on
the 5 to 10 question quiz given at the end of the 2 week mini-lesson
