The following pictures are of my classroom for the 2010-2011 school year. I have used Debbie Diller's book Spaces and Places to help me design how I want my classroom.
When the students enter our classroom, the first thing they will see is this table. This is where the students will turn in their assignments. The folders are labeled for each subject that the students will have assignments.

The bucket is for Box Tops for Education.

When the students turn right into our classroom they will find their lockers and mailboxes. This is where they will be keeping book bags, coats, and books. Graded papers will be returned to the mailboxes. Lockers and mailboxes will be labeled with the students' names as soon as I have a final list for the 2010-2011 school year.

This is where our classroom posts data for each month. We keep track of our behavior, homework, attendance, and our SSP scores. Each student keeps a record of his/her data in his/her F.R.O.G. Binder. Click here for copies of our data sheets found in the F.R.O.G. Binder.

"Tadpole Central" is where students can go for information. The class rules and FROG Bucks system are located here for easy reminders to students. The lunch menu, specials schedule, birthday chart, weekly newsletters, and school newsletters will be posted on this bulletin board.

This is where the math students keep track of what letter they are on in Rocket Math (Mastering Math Facts). The students must master multiplication and division facts by the end of the year. If they master these, then they are challenged to master greatest common factors.

Students in my homeroom class keep track of their spelling tests on the chart located on the right.

This is going to be our writing corner. The students will go here during station work during Reader's Workshop. I have included a table with pencils, stapler, dictionaries, thesauruses, rhyming dictionaries, and spelling dictionaries. I have left room on the bulletin board for the students to post their work.

These computers are for the students. This will also be used as a station during Reader's Workshop. I even have a Computer Station User Guide that the students can use when I can't get to the computers right away to help them.

This is my computer station. It is attached to the Promethean Board located on the blackboard. I also have a scanner, printer, and telephone on my computer desk.
